INFORMED WOMEN MONTH AND GREAT TREKKER’S INC

Since 1911, the month of April has been celebrated as Informed Women month. The intention is to break stereotypes and appreciate the value of educated and informed women in societies.

It is commonly agreed that if you educate a man, you educate an individual but if you educate a woman, you educate a community (coined by Dr James Kwegyr, a Ghanaian scholar). The role of women in society is multifaceted and varied, encompassing contributions to virtually every aspect of human endeavor, including education, healthcare, politics, science, arts, business, and more.

Although in modern society, women generally have equal chances of excelling as men have, there are still occurrences of past discrimination in many facets. Women have historically faced barriers and discrimination that have limited their opportunities and hindered their ability to fully participate and thrive in society.

For Great Trekker's Inc, as a women-owned business, the significance lies in its role as a beacon of women's leadership and empowerment in the business world.

*By showcasing the achievements and successes of women entrepreneurs, Great Trekker's Inc can inspire and empower other women to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and break through barriers in their respective industries.

*Additionally, as a women-owned business, Great Trekker's Inc has a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing women in business, allowing it to serve as a champion for gender diversity, inclusion, and empowerment within its community and beyond.
